Today, Small Business Week continues to highlight the importance of small businesses and the contributions of entrepreneurs across the country.

Highlights of Small Business Week 2024

Small Business Week 2024 in Huerfano County was packed with engaging events designed to support and celebrate our local entrepreneurs…

April 30: Social Media 101 Lunch and Learn at Spanish Peaks Library, where attendees learned how to leverage social media as a powerful marketing tool. The session provided practical tips and strategies for increasing sales through social media platforms.

May 1: Entrepreneur Startup Stories in La Veta at the Grandote Peaks Golf Course and Country Club. Local business owners shared their journeys, offering valuable insights and inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs. The evening included networking opportunities with appetizers and refreshments.

May 2: Small Business Week Meetup at Crafty Canary Brewery, where entrepreneurs gathered to share drinks, appetizers, and their startup stories. It was a fantastic opportunity to network in a relaxed, informal setting.

May 3 & 4: Wheelhouse Retail Pop-up & Makerspace Open House at the Wheelhouse Incubator. Attendees enjoyed refreshments, visited retail startups, participated in Makerspace demonstrations, and received confidential business consulting. Highlights included making your own sticker using a vinyl cutter and creating a custom keychain with a laser cutter.
